guys I was in a bad accident with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and am still recovering. He had a small subaru and it got killed being t-boned only at 30 mph. so I want to install more protection for myself in my 96 celica gt by adding reinforcement cage inside. can it be done???

So, if no roll cage, what can I do about beefing up my sides of the celi for better side impact accidents? Can welding some in-door steel strips help? no, not for the street welding in various pieces or what not can screw up OEM design of crumple zones and crash safety features, thus resulting in further damages like we've said...wearing your seat belt, and having airbags still in the car is the safest and best protection on the street.
