i tried to use vice grips to get my stripped plug loose, but they kept on sliding off. any suggestions on how to get it off. i don't have a torch.

tight vice grips and a little hammer. hit it couple at times. make sure is tight..

so you think i should maybe try a new pair of vice grips? the one's i have now are old. my dad had them lying around.
