There is a lower piece of plastic connected to my stock tube connecting my air box to my engine. The tube has a huge tear in the middle and I duct taped it so dirt wouldn't get sucked in like the Executor went into the Death Star 2 but the dealer charges 80 ****ing dollars for that one piece of plastic. I mean come ON! So the Auto Zone by my house has plastic and metal tubes for sale but they don't connect to the piece of plastic underneath my stock tube. What does that piece of plastic do and do I need it? Its underneath the tube connecting my air box to my engine.

You don't need it. If I'm wrong, someone correct me. I'd just buy a hose from Autozone...or buy a hose,
get a high flow air filter, take that box out and give yourself a pat on the back. Some people like their stock set-ups, though. I'm not trying to talk you into anything. The Autozone hoses work just fine.. |
