Had the Celica on the dyno today in WCP.
Fitted a set of Trust GReddy spark plugs first as my NGK-Rs where a bit old. Things started off well, VVTi kicked in nicely and it climbed strongly to 5krpm but then the fuel took a dive. Seriously lean from 5k to 7k, witch is where its supposed to make most of its power. As a result it made a pitiful 167bhp at the fly. Ive ordered a 255ltr/h fuel pump and an Apexi SAFC Neo to manage the Fuel. A bit of tuning the Neo on the dyno should see my fuel stick steadily to where it was before 5krpm returning my figure to 180-190bhp if all goes well. Witch wont be bad for a ten year old engine that is 200ps (about 190bhp) as standard and ment to be run on japanese jungle juice. Torque on the other hand was spot on. Toyota claim 158ftlbs and it made 156-158 and rising through out the revs. YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHuuFRMF_N4 I removed the bong in the exhaust so instead of its usual rasp its a defining roar. My camera phone couldn't cope with the sound so the quality isnt great. If you look closley you'll see one guy holding his ears and the driver rolling up the window to keep the noise out Also getting the AirCon removed when i go back down to shed some much needed weight. Not much need for it in Ireland unforunatly This post has been edited by Ronan: Sep 20, 2008 - 4:10 PM -------------------- |
