Rant Begins!

Just after getting my renewal quote in for the year for the Celica 1.8 for €2245 fully comp. Thats a drop of €1000 euros from last year!
For someone with a full clean Irish licence with 3years no claims discount it should have bee lower than that!! When I picked up the car last year the company that I was insured with wanted €4000 to cover me fully comp!!! Ringing around looking for someone cheaper, I found out that no one would even touch me! Most wouldn't touch me until I was over 25 and had 5 years no claims at least! Came back to that company managed to wrestle them down to €3400 for the year!

Rang around this time again with the new quote to try and bring it down some more same old story, until I got a hold of a number from a mate. Mouth dropped on the floor!
This company quoted me €1380 fully comp with every bonus I had with the company I was with!
Signed up to that deal straight away!! Got the papers out and low and behold they were a broker for AXA a company that wouldn't touch me until I was 25 with 5years no claims!
Having 2 named drivers on my policy was €0 extra as well!!!

Rant over

Seriously what way do insurance companies work!? Any other Irish lad or lassy paying a F@#KIN arm and a leg for a celica! I understand a 2Liter or GT4 being costly because of the power behind them but a 1.8 ST!?

My renewal is due this month. Im expecting anywhere from €1200 to €1500 but as soon as it comes in i'm shopping around. Particularly with brokers as they can get you into good companies that wouldnt touch you if you asked them yourself. Currently with Quinn but they dont want to let me go up any further power wise until im over 25 so screw them.
