I'm looking to replace the underdrive pulley in my 1996 AT200. I have quite a massive sound system though, so I don't want anything that limits the power to my alternator. If anything, the same size as stock as long as it's lighter. Any ideas?

APC makes an underdrive pulley made out of CNC machined aluminum for the 7AFE motor. I have one on my car and it is MUCH lighter than the stock one...it took me a while to find the right belt sizes because their belt guide is incorrect, now if you do have a big I.C.E system then you are right you may not want to underdrive your alternator, unless you replace it with a more powerful one in order to make up for the loss.

BTW i think if you are looking for power and engine response increases, this mod is well worth it.

Good luck with the decisions.

I already do plan on swapping out the flywheel as well.

If I can't find anything I guess I'll get them made custom. My sound system is pushing a little over 3000 watts and my headlights already dim when it's bassing.
