Are there other Toyota alternators that will work with our cars? I have a spare one from a MK3 Supra, and mine is on it's way out.

Auto 6gc GT is 80amp, Manual is 75amp and the ST-185 GT4 [2nd gen 3s-gte] is 100amp - just for your info. wink.gif
I think only the auto/manual alts are interchangeable - pretty sure the 3S one won't just drop right in but anyone is welcome to come compare mine to theirs if they want. As you can see I've been down this road before and the best solution I found was to keep a healthy stock alt. Lifetime warranties work wonders towards this end [Never bring your car when you change the alt out at the store - they may want to check under your hood and trunk in which case you are SOL wink.gif ].
