Edit: I'm currently working with a local supplier, and as such am able to receive and ship within an average turnaround time of 1 week, often less as he stocks 9006s in white to blue colors since they're the most popular for him. All specs on the kits are the same as before. I've been running this same kit in my own car since July 08, with battery acid on one of the ballasts even, and have had no problems whatsoever with them. And it rains here. A LOT. For 8 months out of the year. So I feel totally confident in the quality of these kits.
Here are the details on the kits: For sale are HID kits shipped to your door for US$134.00 (this price is for the continental US). High/Low HID kits are available (for cars that use the same bulb for the highs as the lows, not Celicas). Cost is $165 shipped w/in lower 48. AK, HI, APO/FPO & International shipping rates vary greatly; please PM me for current shipping quotes. Description: -Kit includes 2 HID ballasts, 2 HID bulbs, mounting brackets and screws, and necessary wiring/plugs. The kit is plug and play and plugs into your current headlight wiring harness. -Warranty: 1 year -Specification: Normal Input Voltage: 12V Allowable Input Voltage: 9V-16V Normal Input Current: 3.5A Ignition Voltage: 23KV Operating temperature: -40degree ~ +105degree Life Time: >2000 hours Luminous flux: 3, 200 LM Bulb Watt: 35W Available lamp types: H1, H3, H4, H4(hi-lo), H4(H/L),H7, H9, H11, H13, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, D2S, D2R(suitable for all kinds of auto, such as BMW, BENZ, AUDI) Color Temp: 4500K, 5000K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K, 12000K Here is a guide you can use to see the color temperatures. This is only an estimate: what you see may vary from monitor to monitor; further, I pulled this from the internet and it is not intended to be an exact representation. This is the actual kit (photographed by myself, not a generic picture) This is a 9006 HID bulb up close (photographed by myself, not a generic picture). Sorry it's kind of blurry. I'll work on replacing it with a better shot. You can choose the color temp of your preference as well as the bulb type. When ordering, I will need to know the bulb type and color temp you want, as well as your location if you are outside US. Payment will be accepted via paypal or money order. My paypal account is mjgriff1 (at) gmail.com PLEASE include your name, site user name, address, color temp and bulb type. I don't want to misplace any orders and all this info will be necessary for confirming your order. This post has been edited by GriffGirl: Jul 8, 2009 - 12:44 PM -------------------- |

Okay, I've gotten further clarification as to the legality of HIDs:
QUOTE They are illegal on most states, it basically comes down to " if your car didn't come with them from factory they are illegal" except those that have HIDs as an option and even those would have to change the headlamp housing for HIDs, as halogen lamps and HIDs are different as well. So basically it's install at your own risk... I haven't had any real issues w/mine. I got stopped in Cali at like 3 am in the redwoods, but my headlights weren't aimed properly (my d/s was kinda whacked out). The cop asked me if they were stock and I told him they weren't, and he was just like "wow, those are really bright, get those aimed." No biggie. -------------------- |
