I've come across some information on a abandoned ST205 project - A rear diffuser for the 6gc.
Dome specializes in aerodynamics and has built quite a few race cars. According to Bespoke Ventures Blog, ... QUOTE ... Dome decided to fix the biggest aerodynamic flaw of the vehicle and create a prototype-style underfloor and diffuser. This isn’t just form being secondary to function, this is function being the sole objective of the part. Dome measured a 9mph increase in top speed, a 7.8% improvement in fuel economy and a very useful 200lbs of downforce. Unfortunately this project never developed beyond a prototype. [As far as I know based on information..] My question is, has anyone else designed a rear diffuser for the 6gc, seeing the obvious performance benefits that it can have on our cars? And if not, can anyone fabricate one? Edit: spelling This post has been edited by samir0189: Oct 8, 2008 - 2:32 PM -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊
QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. QUOTE Ferdi says (11:29) No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings. |

any time you can get the air under the car to move faster than air over the car you'll get positive results.
When i get to this point i'll have pics, but i will be building a composite flat bottom and rear diffuser for mine. |
