Another cop question Options

Ok so I was on my way to school today and i was late as usual. there were 2 cars going under the speed limit. so i see a passing zone pop up. I decided to pass and i see a 3rd car. so i was halfway done passing so i figuerd id jsut pass the other guy. next thing i know i haver this toyota truck on my tail. i see no lights or anything. i pulled into the school and parked. the guys gets outta his truck and asks for my license. i noticed he wasnt in full uniform. he had his blue top on and the black pants but had no belt on with the guns, handcuffs, etc. so it wasnt full uniform. i gave him my license and he wrote down some number and said that i will get a citaiton in teh mail. He didnt say who he was or anything. i couldnt even tell what police station he was from. Should i fight this? it doesnt seem right. he was definatly off duty.

i dont remember asking for opinions about my driving. I was late for school. i know it was dumb i wasnt thinkin straight. So my suggestion is to not call me a douchebag and no trash my thread with that garbage. Im was just curious on if the off duty cop was in the wrong. besides its not like ur a perfect driving angel, im sure uve done something stupid on the road and ended up kicking yourself later. Everyone has.


CAMA- I know, usually i stand my ground with that stuff, it didnt cross my mind that i ddint ahve to give him my license till after i handed it to him haha. I think it was that fact it was 8am and i didnt wanna be late so it would get him outta there faster. But im usually smarter with this stuff.

I respectfully disagree. I haven't put myself in a situation where I was running late and that I needed to pass a handful of people who were probably within the legal range of speed in the first place. You screwed up, and somebody was teaching you a lesson. Because of you passing people did you get to school 40 seconds sooner than you would have? How long did the conversation with this "off duty officer" last? Probably longer than it would have taken to just stay in your lane, get to school, and take a tardy. Whoop dee doo.

I wasn't directing my comment to your specific instance. I am giving you some future advice. I do the speed limit. I obey simple traffic laws.


I was also never tardy for any class. Ever. But that's neither here nor there.

well i admitted my mistake. But the name calling kinda pissed me off. I may be only 17 but i do understand respect and deserver some as well. So ur saying youve never gotten a ticket or a fine of anykind for driving? Ive said several times that i screwed up. No offense but I dont need you tellin me that i screwed up. We have established that. The conversation lasted about 30 seconds and i wasnt late. I just feel disrepected when u made those comments.

D-man: haha i had my sister talk to the police chief cause seh used to work there. and the guy that wrote me up IS an officer haha so he wasnt in connection with my little knife fighter. Speaking of the fake officers, recently there has been one in my area that has been pulling people over and writeing them tickets haha. hes like some crazy middle aged man that thinks hes a cop.

Don't call people douchebag and you wont get called out on it. And if you wanna get technical, Lets stick to the facts here... The last time i checked; a litteral douchbag was incapable for driving. So rather Brent is the most intelegent douchbag in the world, or he's a person that asked a question and dosen't need your blaintant criticisims. I'm willing to bank on Option #2 as he's got a picture of himself right there; and i dont see summer's eve written on it

Again, didn't call anybody names. I gave a bit of future advice, like stated earlier. And yes, in literal terms a douchebag cannot drive. This is true.

But neither can A**holes and B*tches, but you still call people those names while driving, don't you? Terms are used loosely. Everyone knows it.
