I wish people would calm down in this thread - it's getting very close to completion. Imagine how you would feel if you're all hyped up about nearing completion of something so sought after and all anyone can do is talk trash and call BS. Another member has been over to see it and posted pics and the invitation has been given to stop by and see it.
The only thing I can say is some of those welds look not so good - others look very good. If it were me [and I've done a fair bit of structural welding in my time] I'd be going over every one of those and strengthen everything I could. I also assume you will be putting the car through a series of progressively more rigorise testing - we don't want the next update to be you dead [or other drivers] or the car mysteriously took a left all by itself and is now a pretzel [has happened with this very swap before]. Good luck -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Good luck Thanx death.... glad you understand...but can you point out the welds that you think are weak? And yes lots of testing will be going on to make sure....well if you can point those out so I can redo that would be awesome |
