hi,
I am looking into installing a new head unit and 6" front speakers into the doors at the front. I have the original toyota cassette player and speakers but do not like it. is it easy to swap this system and put in a Sony DAB stero and infinity componant speakers? http://shop.audioimages.co.uk/sony-cdx-dab...rol-p-1049.html http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-...0cs_p-22418.htm Could a novice like myself do this? Does it require expert installation? Do I need to mess around with any of the car's electrical systems eg affecting the fuse box etc? sorry i dont know much about cars! thanks |

also guys what is the original size and make of the front speakers? is it toyota own brand 6.5"?
is it worth getting new speakers? is infinite a better brand than Alpine series S? I am looking at getting the infinite with a seperate tweeter speaker http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INFINITY-6-5-6520scs...id=p3286.c0.m14 |

Your speakers are probably blown, but even if they were perfect, aftermarket speakers would still be an improvement. I have Type-S all around and I'm hugely happy...I've never heard the Infinity's, but I can vouch for the Alpines and they're very good. It might also depend on the type of music you listen to. The only bad thing I can say about my speakers is that they sound like they distort a little to me, but I listen to everything pretty loudly.
