After doing a bunch of research and deciding with what to do with my set up, I've decided to go 5sgte rather than 5sfte. The reasons should be obvious since I'm going for a performance build.
In recent weeks, I've done a lot of reading and made a few phone calls and found out that there are two versions of the 5sfe block. Great. Now between both Camry's and Celica's, what years are the older version blocks and which ones are the newer versions? -------------------- |

Those two companies [Both of which I have had dealings with in the past] are known for doing that particular motor build. In the Case of Engine Logics it was ChrisK's whole claim to fame for quite some time until he got into the Subarus. So is it doable - of course - we already said that. Is it feasible for 9/10's of the people on either your Camry forum or this Celica forum? No. Most people do not have the mechanical skill and machining experience to successfully do that [hell I hate to say it but half the people don't even have the research skills to know what to machine].
My point was and is - it's not just "slapping" a 3S head on a 5S block and calling it a day. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
