This morning I was going to my job, it was dark and a bit foggy, coming up to a roundabout and I saw a car also coming up to the roundabout.
I had plenty of time to get in front of the car, but I didn't see the excevator that was driving in front of the other car!! ![]() ![]() ![]() The wheel of the excevator hit me on the left front side, before my wheel and wrecked the whole fender, dented the bumper and dislodged the turn indicator and the hood has shifted a few millimeters to the right 'cause of the hit. Fortunately my JDM lowbeam headlight did survive it. ![]() So after just a few weeks of pleasure of my newly painted car it's going back to the bodyshop. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll try to make a few pics tomorrow when I go to the bodyshop. |

This is a new fender which has been painted.
Only, this morning I saw a new problem. When they fixed the fender the lowbeam unit was removed. When they mounted it again they forgot to put the accentlight back in and a spring to clamp the xenon bulb is missing. I've fixed the accentlight, but I can't get the xenon bulb to stay firmly in de unit. With a bit of tape I hope it will stay in the unit, tomorrow I'll go to the bodyshop to tell them they didn't do a good job and to fix it. ![]() ![]() |
