Grind off the threads and stick on with 3m tape then But then it would be too easy to steal. Plus I think even 3m tape is likely to give way when bombing it down the freeway. A bit of masking tape on each side of the hood, drill through the tape first with a 3mm drill then successfully larger until at the correct size for the bolts. Nothing to worry about - easy. If you are doing it to a metal hood, take the hood off the car first - you don't want bits of metal filings kicking around the engine bay.
