Hi guys, im planning on buying 2 x Alpine speakers 6.5" and buying a sony DAB 52w RMS head unit.
Now I have heard that Type R speakers may require an amp to get the maximum quality sound and loudness. Is this true? What about type S speakers? Is it not required to use an amp as its less power? ****, this sucks. It looks like I'm gonna have to get an amp, as my deck only pushes out 4x50. My fronts are fine, the rears just sound distorted. If I use each independently, they're fine, but as soon as I fade the rears in with the fronts, it's fuller but more distorted.
So audiophiles, what do I need to power these babies? |
