hi there guys,

When my celica is turned on from cold, the accelerator peddle seems to be blocked/stuck. I am not able to gentley press it. I have to push it hard with my foot and then the acceleration peddle becomes smooth.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is it a throttle pump?

Hey,

I cleaned the throttle as you guys said, there wasnt much dirt in there at all, it virtually look brand new inside there. I cleaned it thorougly, saw a little black bits of oil but nothing major.

I also pumped the accelerator pump which opened the throttle and my friend stuck a screw driver with a cloth on to clean and also sprayed with the carb cleaner.

Thing is the accelerator still is a little sticky when the car starts from cold. Its not that much of a major issue, a quick push with my leg will unclog the stuff ness and its smooth again.

Is there anything else that I should be looking to clean?
