Hi everyone,
I'm a recent (but very happy) 1994 SS-II owner from Canada but currently living in Kumamoto prefecture in southern Japan. I used to drive one of those tiny K-cars but last summer I decided that it was time for me to get a real car. I wanted to get myself an integra or an mr-2 at first but when I stumbled upon that celica here I knew she had to be mine. I've been happily driving it to work and on some crazy expeditions on Japan's winding mountain roads ever since. I don't really know much about mechanics, tuning and such (yet) but every time I get in my car I can hear her whispering "make me beautiful, make me powerful", so eventually I'd like to learn and try some myself one day. I don't really have serious money to spend on tuning and upgrades just yet. Nor do I have a place to work on the car and store parts (living in a small country town in a japanese-sized apartment will do that)... but hopefully that'll change one day! Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone! This post has been edited by FrankMkII: Oct 21, 2008 - 1:02 AM |

I get paid 3 600 000 Y a year, which is enough, but yeah, I'm looking for a real job these days. When I bought the celica my boss told me JET's aren't supposed to drive sports cars (well they shouldn't be able to afford them anyway)... JET's not a bad job, but the selection process is kinda strict and it comes with a few minor annoyments that sometimes pile up and make your life miserable at times. But if you want to give it a shot, and have questions, just give me a shout =)
I tried to check the make of my exhaust and the only markings I was able to make out were RS. Is that a known maker? The only way to make sure would be to jack the car and check under, but there's no way I can do that now.... On a side note, I drove my celi all the way to Oita this weekend, which was nice, except for the ridiculously low speed limits on japanese highways... 80km/h on the kyushu expressway and 70 on the oita expressway... yeah, we have streets in my hometown with 70km/h limits =) A fun drive, but I didn't get to test my celi's performance as much as I'd liked... |
