so i blew my motor
=[ well shes knocking i just put in 5 quarts of oil in her ....so i think shes almost done so....could i take an ST and put in on of the other motors, with the same mounts in the same place? also im gonna do a manual swap with it....will it be easier to do that while i have no motor? No. The valve cover is the top end of the motor where the head is. If you really think its a knock then its coming from the block. Now if its a ticking noise it could be the valves in the head. But since you are saying its a knock its your block. You'd have to inspect the cylinder walls to see what kind of damage. Inspect the crankshaft too, you spun a rod bearing. If you are doing it yourself if will be a pretty cheap build. But I think its better to find a used motor in good shape and just swap it in.
