So reading through these forums I see alot of people aren't too fond of wings and spoilers. My question is why? Why all the hate on them, am I missing out on something, enlighten please.

It really is all just personal preference. Lil-Joe, your wing looks good on your car, but to each his own. I would only put factory spoilers on my car, i.e. the 3 post I have now or the GT4 spoiler. Not that I think either of them will help me any at all. From how I understand it, you have to be traveling at a very high speed for a spoiler to be any use at all, like in excess of 100 mph. That's just an estimate, by the way. I did not just look that number up, that's just how it's been explained to me. But from how I understand it, a spoiler is useless unless you are hauling a**. Somebody please correct my numbers up there! That's not stopping me from getting a GT4 wing though if you are just spouting off at the mouth don't bother.....it just spreads false information... you DO NOT need to be going crazy fast to be effected by a wing. also to be noted spoilers and wings are different. A spoiler is close to the body of the car where as a wing is offset in height by a reasonable amount This post has been edited by playr158: Nov 28, 2008 - 12:02 PM |
