So reading through these forums I see alot of people aren't too fond of wings and spoilers. My question is why? Why all the hate on them, am I missing out on something, enlighten please.

QUOTE i'd say the OP has a wing of sorts, albeit completely non functional except for being heavy. the GT4 i would consider a wing as well. a spoiler is very close to the body and/or fully attached, where as a wing is up a good bit creating larger pressure zones. Actually I have a spoiler. Its bolted to the to trunk and flares out as it goes higher. And even the smallest lip is functional. Im think of our car as a big paper airplane. It cut two slits in the back on slightly above the other raise the cen portion up u have a wing on ur paper airplane. Now think how air moves over under and around our cars. Dont think of the speed just the air. Now put a wing or a spoiler in the middle of the airflow. Wut happens is that airflow gets cut in half. U now have air flowing over the and under the air flowing under is trying to rise. while the air over is trying to lower. Easy way I can I can describe it is u get the same effect from a wing or spoiler as u do when u put ur hand out the window of a car and raise up and down. and magicly we have wut is know to be called down force. It really doesnt matter the speed. -------------------- From Japan to Texas my st202 follows me.
