it's got a new:
Radiator Fan sensor switch Radiator Cap Water Pump Thermostat and gasket It still over heats. Pushes steam out the over flow bottle. Haven't pressure tested it. Seems very intermittent almost random as to when it does this. Outdoor temperature does not matter. -------------------- 94 GT Liftback

Well it pretty much has to be spinning. I did the whole timing belt and pump and all seems well in there. Oddly the old pump didn't appear to have any real issues minus maybe a little drag on the bearing. The plugs have always been rather white in this car. If it was an internal leak wouldn't it smoke like a demon on start and have some form of coolant burning smell? My last thought is thus bum T-stat? Yesterday it was pushing steam and the fan's were not kicked on.
SIDE NOTE This car is a 10/93 manu date. It is a GT, It has a 2.2L but it takes a ST 1.8L thermostat even though the pump is a GT pump. Just one of its many nuances. -------------------- 94 GT Liftback
