ok so I have 2 12s with 695 watts rms at 2 ohms powering them
it sounds like absolute ass from the outside, its embarrassing I know there are many threads on this, but it seems no one has found a solution I have fixed the rattling in the doors, the trunk floor, and the license plate itself but the license plate bezel still rattles terribly this is the part I mean, NOT THE ACTUAL LICENSE PLATE Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I will spend $300 on deadener if it will stop the rattling, but a lot of people say it does not work. This post has been edited by Promasta: Dec 3, 2008 - 12:09 AM |

I would take it off totally, temporarily fasten some kitchen foil to the car body, then replace the housing and spray loads of expanding foam in there, then once its set, remove the whole housing again, remove the foil (as the foam shouldn't stick to this) and then replace the foam/housing. This will then stop the housing moving at all mate. So you have foam thats stuck to the housing but not the car. (give the housing a good clean first so it'll stick better.)
Put some masking tape over all the screw holes and try to seal the edges of the housing to the car body though otherwise you'll get foam squirting out everywhere. Should only cost you a few $$, probably won't add as much weight as loads of sound deadening material. This post has been edited by vsideboy: Dec 4, 2008 - 1:46 AM |
