Well, I have been more of a viewer than contributer since I joined; and it has been very hard the past year and 5 months since I wrecked my car by hitting a deer on a midnight run up to Yoesmite National Park. I have been working hard since the accident to get "STOLEN" back on the road. Here are some pics: on the progress so far.
I needed transportation so I bought a new bike: So I decided this was the best time to make the Celica look the way I wanted it to --> Replacing door skin and marking dings for repair: "> Prep and sand...etc. "> "> "> "> "> Repairing damage done to right apron by the deer. Mmm....venison is good meat. "You keep what you kill". "> "> Painting parts. I put on 4-5 coats of paint and 2.5 coats clear. "> "> "> "> "> "> Well thats my progress so far. I will have updates in the coming days as I put the car back together. |

^^^^= sick Thank you! It will be nice when it is done. Nice!!! I hate you viewers hahaha. I did the same. I also bought a bike, but that was during the 3s swap. My new years resolutions is to be a contributor that's a nice color.. that is sickkk..WHat kinda paint is that??price?? "> that pics reminds me of something... and then clear Nice color ! what color (name) did you go with ? Whats the paint code ? what color of paint is that, that is sick!!! The paint code is 183-Toyota it is Dk blue-gray. I used PPG's envirobase high performance water based paint. Everything looks nice! Except for the 1125r of course! The 1125r is an amazing piece of machinery. I love it --I hope the Celica does not get jealous . nice color pick and progress. are you going to paint the jams and such as well? Yes! Going all out. No short cuts lookin good man! why so many coats of color? did it not cover well? PPG claims this water base paint lays out better than the solvent based...it did not for me. Maybe I was doing something wrong....I dunno. I am still putting everything back together. I should have some pics posted shortly. Thanks everyone for your responses. Special thank you's to those that were pioneers in performing the GT-4 lookalike swap...you made things easier for me. |
