ok is this the easiest way in to get this git off, i had to stop today as the sun was nearly down and it was freezing, hopefully get it off tomorrow. As you can see i took the wheel off and where the red arrow is i had to grease up my arm and go in through that gap. I could get my hand on it and maybe if i had some 90degree pliers i would have had the plug off. My elbow was up against the cross member i think it is my grip with my fingers just wasnt strong enough and i could hardly get my arm in anymore. I have my doubts of of whether i can get a spanner on it hopefully a 24mm deep socket will do, it is 24mm isn't it? cause i have heard it is 23mm too. I hope this is help for anyone else trying to get the knock sensor out cause it is a pain and there is limited amount of pictures on how to get to it. Any advice is welcome

youve got to get the car nice and high on jack stands, or a lift is even better, slide all the way under, behind the crossmember, and look up and the back of the block from there...

although now that i think about it, with a GT4, things will be MUCH harder back there, with the AWD trans.
crap, didnt think of that till just now, sorry mate!
but yes, the arrow in your 2nd to last pic, and the last pic are what your after.
