I have been looking at these and wondering if I should go for it. They are backed with a year warranty and put out 160AMPS vs the standard Alternators that put out 70AMPS. I was thinking of getting it (if it seems like a good idea) and keeping mine as a back up just in case. What do you guys think? Has anyone bought one of these before?

High amp alt does not = crispy wires. pulling too many amps through a wire does. add a good sized fused wire between the alt and battery +s and check the volts/amps at idle && 2000 rpm (auto zone will do it free. just ask)

This a good way to go then? Or should I just rough it out the way it is? I mean I am not going high tech on system and lights, but I would like a healthy amount of such. You know? -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
