I have been looking at these and wondering if I should go for it. They are backed with a year warranty and put out 160AMPS vs the standard Alternators that put out 70AMPS. I was thinking of getting it (if it seems like a good idea) and keeping mine as a back up just in case. What do you guys think? Has anyone bought one of these before?

I'd also suggest a batcap. They help w/ voltage problems and will save your alternator. I have one batcap and running around 2k watts continuous in my celica and haven't had my lights flicker with batcap 800. And its relatively small.
