I have been looking at these and wondering if I should go for it. They are backed with a year warranty and put out 160AMPS vs the standard Alternators that put out 70AMPS. I was thinking of getting it (if it seems like a good idea) and keeping mine as a back up just in case. What do you guys think? Has anyone bought one of these before?

its like a high performance BATTERY. it will supply voltage much quicker than a regular batter(similar to a cap.) and have much more "storage" than a regular cap. But of course more storage, less responsiveness. but u really don't have to worry about that much detail.
when shopping for your HO alt, ask the amperage the alt puts out at 800 rpm. i think stock can put our 30 amps at idle? im not sure, so someone back me up or correct me please. -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. I think the amps a stock alt for MT Celica puts out 70amps. The ones that put out 160 supposedly idle at 88amps. Well the specific one I was looking at. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
