Ok, so I am needing to clean the engine in my ST.
I need to clean it inside and out. When I took off my throttle body, I noticed quite a lot of carbon, so I can just imagine what the intake manifold etc. look like. Also, it has a leaky valve cover gasket(new one is on its way), and it has 190k miles on it, so it needs a good cleaning. What do you use for cleaning the engine, such as purple power etc.? Also, what do you recommend for cleaning the inside of the engine? I have heard mixed reviews on stuff like seafoam, b12 chemtool, etc. What do you guys recommend? |

Yeah. I have heard stuff like that too. I just want to get rid of the carbon build up.
When pressure washing it like that, shouldnt you cover up electrical connectors and stuff, and leave it running? Thanks. |

Thanks. no need to worry about wires, i worked at a detail shop and we use the " engine tire cleaner" just spray it on there, they spray it off. make sure your car is off. dont worry about the heat or anything ive done this to plenty of cars. for the tough stuff, i used laquor** thinner. that stuff works wonders haha |
