Just jacked the car up for a service to find that I have torn the right hand side outter CV boot and the left hand side has cracks and looks like it may tear soon.
Is it worth replacing the cv on the rhs or just the boot? Is it a big job? I shouldn't need to replace the axle will I? Ill get photos up soon. I searched but could find anything that helped me. Im sure someone out there will find what im after but i tried. Update: I got two cv's for $26 each and tried to take the old ones out. couldn't get the old ones to move out of the hub and its so hot with 100% humidity I didnt have the patience to nut it out so took the car to the local mechanic and the old cv's had seized in the hub. It took their big hydraulic press to move it out and it only just pushed out.
What I saved on the cv's is going into labour but hey it happens. -------------------- 1994年 トヨタ 神々しい My Facebook My Bebo QUOTE (loll6g @ Nov 6, 2008 - 5:53 AM) automatics are for lazy ass drivers who jst want there car so that they can look cool |
