hey again lads. so recently I was drivin out on the curvin roads of the ranges and i decided it would be great to have the wind in my hair so i crank the sunroof open. woo the wind was roarin through the car and all was great! however...

we arrive at the beach and i press the button to close the sunroof and... the roof didnt budge.. thats weird, press it again the motor whirrs but the roof didnt move at all! ****! here we are in the middle of the whops and my sunroof wont close.. it did this a while back then it suddenly started working again. but as of now (a month later) it still doesnt work.. i managed to get the roof closed almost all the way but.. not ALL the way.. so it leaks frown.gif!!

so... any ideas what could cause it to work then not work then work again... i hear the motor spinning when i press the button but its like its not catching. any ideas what could cause this oh so unfortunate problem guys?? any one else had the same problem?? im even starting to consider silicon sealin it but thatd be an eye sore

any help MUCH appreciated

sounds like the gears are either broken or not engaging. you will have to take the sunroof out to see what is going on

I found this by doing a search it may help you

QUOTE
take off the sunroof control bezel and look up and u will see a big gold flathead screw, turn that and it will manually/open/close, be careful its hard to turn and it strips easy
