Here's a few shots from our last minute, bored as hell mini shoot. I just wanted to post them, and yes, I still have yet to learn how to use photo shop, but I did what I could with what I can use.
Next time, I think we should opt for some females in the photos. I have a guy with a nice RX8 and also has a veilside RX7 who has some models he can depend on. I am planning on shooting him next. I need to get a job and get a better camera.... :-( Oh yeah, and some dude kept passing by us in the parking lot, so I shot him! nice shots !!
great to know that someone isn't buried under 3' of snow and ice and can actually get out and take pics of their rides . as for the "look" of your shots, it's called artistic licence and if the artist likes it enough to sign it and post it, then that's how they should look. keep experimenting with Photoshop. you can do some crazy 5H1T with that software!! i am no better than the next guy at taking photos but if i may make a comment on the photos in general: they are cropped too tight. you need to have the model occupy a space and not be so much "in your face". if you want to be more artsy, move the horizon away from the centre of the frame. you did it in a few shots and they look much better. these are things i try to think of when i'm out with my camera, but sometimes you just want to get the shot and don't have time to analyze these things. could you post a "raw" version of one of the pics to compare. i'm always curious to see what the artist starts with. r. -------------------- |

Hey thanks Luke
nice shots !! great to know that someone isn't buried under 3' of snow and ice and can actually get out and take pics of their rides . as for the "look" of your shots, it's called artistic licence and if the artist likes it enough to sign it and post it, then that's how they should look. keep experimenting with Photoshop. you can do some crazy 5H1T with that software!! i am no better than the next guy at taking photos but if i may make a comment on the photos in general: they are cropped too tight. you need to have the model occupy a space and not be so much "in your face". if you want to be more artsy, move the horizon away from the centre of the frame. you did it in a few shots and they look much better. these are things i try to think of when i'm out with my camera, but sometimes you just want to get the shot and don't have time to analyze these things. could you post a "raw" version of one of the pics to compare. i'm always curious to see what the artist starts with. r. Actually, I only cropped around the photo which is why they have that black border. I took them like that to capture as much detail of the car without cutting it out of the picture unless it was necessary to even things out. I only have a Kodak Z712 IS, so there is only so much I can do with shots because the lens is nothing special. But if you still want to see the original photos, I can post them. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
