ok so after a couple weeks of running from one parts store to the next
and custom modifying parts to fit my car im starting to think i dont have the 7a-fe whenever i try to get parts, and tell them i have an st its never the right part, at least not when it comes to the engine and transmission etc... my car was rebuilt at some point, and my aunt said it was an ST when i bought it from her but im thinking that either i have a different transmission, or a different engine so two questions 1. where on the engine do i find the identifying stamp 2. where can i find the same thing on the trans, and anyone know anywhere i can go for info on the trans? my pride an joy has been locced away in the shop for weeks i can hear him calling to me from across the street please help me get ahab bacc out onto the streets lol thanks |

i meant the motore may be gt
the car was originally st, i know that for a fact the title says it my problem is at some point not sure when, all i know is before i had the car someone put either a new engine, a new transmission, or both sorry i shouldve specified that my problem is due to an engine or transmission swap not that i dont know what engine was originally in the car i cant take a pic right now, the car is closed up in the shop and locced im sure im not just getting the wrong parts i went to oreilly's autozone advance etc... i bought a haynes manual, and found out my cv axle should be like 34 point something inches and the one i took out of my car the one thats worked fine since i had it was about 39 inches This post has been edited by grasby: Feb 24, 2009 - 7:02 PM |
