Hey guys!
So I was thinking about a crazy idea for a short ram setup and I wanted to see what you all thought about it. I was considering a short ram intake with the filter placed inside of some type of sealed enclosure that would pull air from the drivers side vent on a Z3 fender. So is this crazy or what? Thanks for your input! |

I've started to realise the best way to go about this is to use the factory air box with a high flow, drop in panel filter, hack off the 2.75" port on the lid and with your plastic welding skills replace that with a 3" port and use a stainless or alluminum short ram pipe in place of the old rubber hose.
Remove your underbelly plastic covers to reveal another resonator box, unbolt it and rip out this resonator box and connect the 2 ports of the stock air box inlet which come in from behind the fuse box to a ram air scoop behind your front bumper (probably using your plastic welding skills again.) -------------------- Mike W
