ive posted about this before. My car has high idle, roughly 2000 rpm. read about all this in the forums and came to the comclusion it was my IAC. got my IAC replaced the othyer day, no diffrence.

found the vaccum diagram for the 5s and checked mine out. everyhting was good. except for the PS assist valve. the "nipple" type things were semi broken on that.

now im ok with engines, not a complete expert but i can do pretty good. i dont know what else could make my idle as high as it is, could timing, belt tension, advanced or retarded ignition timing have any effect on this? i just want my car to opperate as it should.

im only a teen so i dont have too much money to play with, but any experience & help towards my problem is greatly appriciated.

bc the engine died with it covered the valve is opened too far, OR the line to the PS idle up valve is leaking.

did the valve move freely when it was off the car?
