Hey, don't know how many of you read Modified, but in the last two issues they've been touting an upcoming 100% readers rides issue. Catch is they're only taking submissions for another month now. Sadly, my car won't be ready for a submission in time, but I'm throwing this out there because there are some OUTSTANDING cars here on this forum and I'm sure with good pics, well written break downs on the cars, one of us could get in there.

heh... I saw that in the March issue. I actually sent an email to this guy who has a very very nice modded tC, I thought he should try it. Here's the email I sent, it has all the instructions and info if any of you guys want to try for it. You have nothing to lose! Lagos - take your own pix. They don't have to be beautiful. If you get in they'll send a pro out to shoot your car.

As always, the submissions are open to anyone. However, you must—and I emphasize must—follow three simple steps for your car to be considered. They really aren't difficult and when you consider that you could potentially have a real chance at a full feature car story, then the extra effort of snapping some photos or writing up a spec sheet doesn't seem like much work. With that in mind, here are the criteria:

1) A complete spec sheet/modification list of everything that has been done to your car. From wheels to the intake, if it's been modified then we want to know about it.

2) All submissions must be sent to either readerrides@modified.com or peter@modified.com. If you mess this up, don't come crying to us!

3) This is the most important step–the photos. When you submit your photos, they must be high resolution/high quality, meaning send the photos in as they come off your camera, don't scale them down to web size. Also, ensure that the photos include an exterior shot (showing the entire vehicle, no cropped shots), an engine bay shot and an interior shot. You can send more than three photos; in fact, I encourage you to send more. Please note, the email accounts are capped at 10MB per email, so you may have to send multiple emails to get all your photos in.

I know some of you are reading this thinking there is no way your car is good enough, but before you dismiss the idea of your car making it into the magazine, keep this in mind: you really have nothing to lose. Worst case, we don't pick your car; best case, it graces our cover! For the lucky few who have their cars picked for full features, we will have a professional photographer shoot your car to ensure it gets all the glory it deserves. Lastly, get your submissions in sooner than later because we'll be accepting entries for the next two months and that's it.

Oh - and when you guys take those pix, HANG ON TO THEM for the 2010 calendar! I expect to see them! biggrin.gif
