As several of you know, I recently parted out an ST. Well, as it turns out, the 7AFE and it's automatic transmission are in incredibly low demand Who knew that when someone pulled the 7AFE out that they would want to put something more powerful back in??? So that leaves me with a 7AFE and trans sitting in my garage. I have an uncle who happens to be an excellent welder and has a LOT of scrap metal sitting around. So after reading some of the more recent threads on here, namely the one Exterior Styling where gokarter put a rubber lip in his front bumper. Everyone starting talking about how the lip matched his name. I started thinking... Celica, go-kart... Celica, go-cart... What if I bought a few supplies, and had my uncle build me a frame (with a kick-a** roll cage hahahaha) and mount that 7AFE on it? It would be heavy, yes, but it would be the most BA go-kart in Southern Illinois. 110 HP isn't very much in a Celica, but it'd be massive overkill on a one-off go-kart. So do you guys think I should do this? And if so, how would I do it? Keep in mind that I do still have the transmission, and I'm not sure whether I should use it or not. So... Tell me!

I'm getting that money from giving up my life to work two jobs, and a third on weekends and during the summer when my cousin comes back from school. I'm working 7 days a week right now, and it's kinda kicking my butt. I've been having trouble sleeping the last couple of months, but it was fine when I didn't have anything to do. Now, it's becoming a problem. I'm always exhausted. At least it's not manual labor on a daily basis, or I'd be screwed. The Supra itself is dirt cheap, as far as mkIV's go. They are asking $13,900 for it. It's an auto which sucks, and it's got 103,000 miles, but it's lower mileage than my Smellica. And better taken care of, too. It's more of a look-good Supra than a go-fast Supra, but that can be changed
And point well taken on the 1,000 cc motorcycle motor with a lot less weight. I just figured I had this motor sitting around, and I have an uncle who is an excellent weldor and has plenty of scrap metal sitting around, so I was going to see what I could do with minimal money. But I'm probably just going to give up on this idea. If nobody takes this motor after I get my new car paid off, I may try and pick it back up. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
