For a good/cheap cold air for an ST, buy a 90 degree elbow, 45 degree elbow and a couple of straight peices and route the piping down infront of the transmission beside the battery tray. I built one like that for Nader, it was great. Fit perfectly, worked nicely + we didnt have to go through the fenders/try and figure out thouse weird bends.
As for the AEM is better than KN filter arguement. I personaly like the KN ones better. Ive run them on every intake I've had on the celica, my old supra and my Civic right now. The AEM ones do need to be cleaned and maintained just as much or more than the KN ones. The only way i would run an AEM filter over a KN filter is if i was running a late model GM and was worried about burnin out the MAF, but since the celicas run MAPS, we r fine for either. |
