They really have 6 of them there? I've been there maybe 4 or 5 times over the years, but it's been probably 4 or 5 months since I've been there, but there were only maybe 2 when I was last there. And they, along with just about every other car there, were junk. A completely engine and transmission in one of them? That's pretty..amazing.... They charge less than $100 for a 4cyl engine. Gotta pull it yourself and carry it to your car though. Or rent one of their worthless sandbagwagons with bricks for wheels and drag it through acres of mud. In the rare case that you do find an engine there, expect the hood to be open, valve cover missing, and everything rusty and filled with water. And various parts from the engine missing....or broken.

For those who haven't been there and are seriously thinking about wasting your time driving from out of state, Harry's is like walking through a landfill that only takes cars. Old ones. Junk everywhere, junk cars, broke plastic, broken glass, mold, mud, etc. Every time I've gone there I've left filthy, bleeding, and (usually) empty handed. And you have to pay to get in, whether you buy anything or not. As soon as you walk through the entrance gate, the temperature drops 15 degrees and wind picks up 25 miles an hour. Bring bandages, tissues, latex gloves, and some penicillin. Maybe even flares for when you fall in one of the many holes and break your legs.

If you think you've been to a junkyard before, rethink the word 'JUNKyard' and that barely begins to describe Harry's. I've absolutely no intention of ever going back there. I'm pretty sure the GhonaHerpeSiphilAIDS I caught last time is enough.
