Hey guys!
My current 7A has been knocking for awhile, and being that a plow hit the rear quarter, I was thinking of just getting rid of her. I've come to the decision that I dont want to! lol
So my question would be, does anyone have any ideas on how much (approx.) it would be to put a new/salvaged 7A into the car? Do I just go to a mechanic and tell them what has to be done and they handle it or do I buy a salvaged engine and then go to a mechanic?

Thanks a lot everyone! =)

Well...... I am glad to hear that you aren't getting rid of her!!

But you might want to think about dropping in a bigger motor. Even if it is just a 5SFE(the GT motor) there are alot of other engines you can put in there for around the same price as a 7afe. You can buy your motor seperate, but i would find a mechanic that is willing to instal a motor before you buy it. Some will be willing to install an engine if its one they are buying from their suppliers, but not one from a junk yard
