I always wanted a toyota symbol with horn on it, I'm sure you've seen the design around, but the only source for them for us Celica owners was a place in UK and the currency convertion didn't help us much, so after mentioning this to my wife, she said she could make them for me. These are direct replacement of the stock ones, same size and all, now since the mold are made and that's the hard part, she's willing to make a few more sets for 6gc and make some shopping money on the process. whoever is interested let me know. These will be made to order, they can be black, black with reflective paint on them, or left unpainted for you to play with them. the price for a set ( front and back ) is US$50.00 shipped within US. let me know IF there is any interest, so she can make a few for you guys / girls BTW the ones on the picture are gun metal for my, and I mess them up cause I though the paint was dried and it was not, so they need to be sanded and repainted. -------------------- |

Culp, what is the actual piece made out of? You mentioned making a mold so I assume that whatever is used gets poured in. Is the backside contoured or is the piece flexible enough to seat to the curves? Is there a warranty against cracking or anything? Will the actual piece have a surface free from imperfections? material is poured into the mold, peice is removed and them place on a surface that has the same shape as the area of the bodyu where it'll be installed, so it'll seat properly, in case it doesn't due to body work and stuff, the peice can be heat with a heat gun ( be careful with this ) and re shaped to match your body's curve. the material use is Automotive grade resin, same type of resin you'd use to do body work, so it should not crack as they peice will not flex once installed, if you drop it, well, that's between you and gravity, but even then I droped one of mines and didn't crack. a basically hand pade piece free of imperfection ? sorry but nop, my wife is great at these, but machines were created for a reason., the peice will be as good as she can possible make them, surface is very smooth as it comes out of the mold as it is, but THIS IS A CUSTOM PIECE MOSTLY DONE BY HAND SO PERFERCTION IS NOT THERE. -------------------- |
