I have two questions today. I took my throttle body off and cleaned it. When i took it off i was a bit surprised by what i saw. I saw that the intake manifold was black on the inside with what would appear to be dirt and grime or something that looked like that. my question is the 7afe suppose to be like that or not? when i looked at the throttle body one side was dirty and the other side was how i expected to find it.

My other question that when cleaning the throttle body, the spring that makes the throttle plate reclose I took it off. When i started driving the car like that cuz i forgot to but it back on, I noticed that the car accelerated faster than it normally does. I think it is cuz when i moved that spring position lower it puts less tension on the spring so it can open and close faster. But I wanted to know if I drive it like that will i damage anything?

ah so thats why its so black in there. I always wondered wat the purpose of the pcv. i changed it last year just for the sake of changing it.

wat about my second question? say if i leave that spring like that will i be damaging anything? it made my celica feel torquey xD

edit: if the oil and junk goes back into the intake wont i be getting oil into the cylinders or no? or does it get sucked out somewhere in the intake manifold?
