YES! Finally got a 6th GEN TODAY!!! I am so excited, and you guys definitely underrate the power of the 5 speed gt
This thing flys and handles corners crazy! a lil over rev from 3rd goin to 4th is a huge jump in MPH Coming back from cleveland my stepdad got it from 80-120 in 5th gear like it was nothin, and he also said he felt more gas to be pressed I got a 96' GT 5 Speed, Black nice as hell paint is awesome no rust on body what so ever, we just built a custom cai and fit it in in like 20 minutes definitely gave an awesome woosh when in neutral i am already in love It has 136k miles drove it for 4.5 hours back home it is in great shape im so excited! Just stock this thing is quick as **** ill for sure burn my friends cars and they have a lil bit of performance done I will post pics as soon as my mom gets off work she has the camera, I cant wait to discuss mods with you guys ive been reading this site and been learning for a few monthes and i finally got one!!!!!! ITBL? as for questions whats 294 grind and how can i update powerband TY for welcoming If you search for "webcams" in the engine/transmission section you should find a few threads with good info, links etc on the 294 grind. The grind basically changes the shape of the camshaft lobes to provide more and longer lift. The powerband on our cars (if you look at a dyno chart) has peak horsepower at about 3500 rpm and 4300 rpm if I remember correctly. Pretty much no power above 5,000 rpms to redline. The biggest advantage to the cams is they give a steady amount of power from 4500 rpms up to redline. There's not much else you can do to change that, the motor from the factory was designed for gas mileage. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
