I have had ongoing overheating issues, & I finally rebuilt my engine. I want to ensure that it stays cool & clean like the factory intended. I am looking for the under engine plastic splash shield(s) for a 1997 manual transmission Celica GT. I found a place online that sells two different styles, but I don't know which one is the proper one for my car. Can any one show me which one is right, or are they both needed? I haven't found a Celica around anywhere to look at. Can someone please either post a picture of the underside of a Celica or at least tell me which one I need.

Is this one for Auto? Or is it only for the drivers side?

Is this the manual one? Or is it just the passenger side?

If any anyone has a good source for these let me know. Also if anyone has one they are willing to part with cheap let me know.

are these really even needed?

I removed mine when i did my clutch... they were always anoying me when i was doing maintenance so i decided to not put them back... even tough i have a cold air intake and it aint too good...

you should probably get them back on there dude, especially with a cold air.. just think when you get muddy water splashing onto your cai ull be getting some of the dirt goin through to your injectors.

Is anyone going to correct him? Muddy water that splashes on an airfilter will not result in dirt running through your injectors. The only thing running through your injectors is gasoline, and unless you splash muddy water in your gas tank you will be ok.
