I have had ongoing overheating issues, & I finally rebuilt my engine. I want to ensure that it stays cool & clean like the factory intended. I am looking for the under engine plastic splash shield(s) for a 1997 manual transmission Celica GT. I found a place online that sells two different styles, but I don't know which one is the proper one for my car. Can any one show me which one is right, or are they both needed? I haven't found a Celica around anywhere to look at. Can someone please either post a picture of the underside of a Celica or at least tell me which one I need.

Well, yes but there are other issues as well.
Air boxes are engineered so that you can't get the filter wet unless you submerge the car. Aftermarket kits vary, but in general the filter can get wet a lot easier. Depending on the type and quality of the filter material, it may let water through or it may choke the air flow. |
