I'm still not sure which HID kit to buy, H4, OR H1. According to everything that I have read, the stock bulb in a JDM projector is an H1 bulb BUT the HID kit or connector we are supposed to buy to make it work is an H4???? GMGcQ
here is a picture of my JDM projector right out of the box: ![]() this is the bulb that came out of it: ![]() this is what it looks like without the bulb: ![]() This post has been edited by erahman85: Apr 11, 2010 - 2:25 PM |

Ok, I didn't have my camera around when I got my HID bulbs in the mail and I got excited and installed without taking pictures lol but anyway here are some pictures after the install.
anyway LewFX is right about those plastic circles that come in the bulb packaging if you cut them in a C shape like that then you can make them hold the H1 bulb in firmly without any modification to the projector itself. Projectors installed: ![]() These are the best places for the ballast that I could find without cutting the 9006 harness to make it longer. Be careful because if you look on the pictures both ballasts are near places where liquid could get on them like the windshield washer reservoir and the coolant overfill reservoir. THe stock 9006 harness fits directly into the kit that I bought with no modification needed at all. No relay or any of that installed, I don't know what people use the relays for. Anyway here are the pics. Ballast on drivers side: ![]() Ballast on Drivers side PIc 2: ![]() Ballast on Passengers side: ![]() Ballast on Passenger side 2: ![]() Lights on: ![]() ![]() |
