I just got pulled over again on the same street as before, but this time up north more where the speed limit is 35mph in a small section and 45mph on either side. I did 50 to get around a car after making a yellow light thinking the car was going at speed limit, instead it was actually going 25mph. So I look in my rear view and see a sheriff behind me. I pull over and he was like "What's up? You know what the speed limit is? " I said "45mph?" he was like "35 in that section, were you in a hurry?" and I was like "Kind of". He said that a CHP officer was watching me and had him pull me over. So he was going to let me go with a warning and I was like "For real?! OH thank you! No one has ever done that before." and then he asked if I had any warrants or anything, I know you shouldn't talk to police but he seemed real cool and I told him how I got a ticket on that street a few weeks before and that I got an extension to have it taken care of middle of this month and it is due on the 1st. He asked for my ID and then the CHP officer pulled up on the other side of the parking lot. He was like "Yeah that's the guy right there. LOL By the way, nice ride." and I was like "Man, thanks so much" and he let me go.

This never happened before, and yes I am dumb for making the same mistake twice and such, but this is my testimony, not all cops are bad.

They teach you all that in driving school. People choose not to listen to the reasons not to speed, etc etc. I will not disagree, some cops are corrupt, take their title and use it ways in which they shouldn't, or are just simply assholes because they think they are better than everyone else. But to say that all cops are bad and are not there to protect you is completely and utterly absurd. I know plenty of cops who take their job very seriously and don't use their badge for unjustly reasons. There will be corrupt people in every job, every title, every position in this country.

What inclines them to be corrupt.

What can we do to lessen that inclination?

Too many times officers know other officers are doing inappropriate things, but who would tell on a brother? They get a sense of power and think their sh*t doesn't stink.
