how wide is too wide for the fenders and how does one go about making it legit....making it looking nice...instead of just adding extra pieces on the fender and molding it on....does one have to roll the fenders? what material is use for the extra flaring and any ideas to make sure the design flows nicely with the curvatures of the celi? Everybody talks of wide body celica...but very few accomplishes it or have mentioned anything about it...it's more of "HERE IT IS" with pics but no DYI or how to properly go about making the body wider...i REALLY want to know how to do the rear panel...I know i can take to mechanics and find one who can try to make it work at a body shop, but even before i go, i need to make sure the idea is presentable so when they work on it...it won't look too RICEY or have the operation on the car go wrong. I know doing this will cost a lot, but there are people out there who do have the money...
here is a pic of how the celi's body should like like...it's from a RC nitro in 1/8th scale... HOPEFULLY something nice like this : I sincerely think this thread can be of use if someone or anyone for the fact of the matter can help contribute vital information for people who want to do something like this for their celi...me being one of them. there are a few wide bodys on this site.. someone on here should know who they are, and maybe you can get an idea or two from them.. or just send them a PM.. i pulled my rears and then molded flares.. it all depends how wide you want to go... keep in mind RIMS when you go wide.. you are probably going to have to go with a custom rim, which is alot of money.. also keep in mind your going to need extra space for those wide rims. you dont want that 'sucked in' look w the rims.
