what are the signs of an oil pump that is failing?

If mine was going, would I have the same PSI at idle, 2000 rpm, 3000 rpm and at start up? Or would it change from day to day for example...my car starts up in the morning and reads 60 PSI, then after normal op. temp. it idles at 10 PSI, raises to 34 PSI at 2000 rpm, and 50 PSI at rpms at and above 3000 rpm. It stays within that range every day give or take a PSI. So am I good or are the numbers (PSI) concerning? I don't have rod knock (that I can hear), I don't have low oil levels, and I don't have any loss of power that I have noticed.

I do have 179,000 miles on my bottom end though. If I did do a new oil pump, could I expect to see higher PSI levels?
