I am near completion of my 2nd gen 3sgte swap in place of what formerly was a 7afe. I was wondering if anyone had completed the same swap and got their AC to work. I realize the compressor has to be changed, but just curious what you all did. Any help is appreciated. It's winter now, but I won't have a heater or defroster. Summer is what I'm REALLY worried about.

Yes, the lines b/w the 7A and the 5S are different. I had to purchase line from a 5S last week. As for the compressor, I'm using the one that came with the 3S. I didn't change anything else pertaining to the A/C, just the lines. For those with a GT, you shouldn't have to make any additional purchases to get the A/C to work. To everyone, I'll keep you posted once the car is started. I don't know if the A/C is going to work yet or not. ELP doesn't doubt that it will not work. Qatar sorta explained to my why it wouldn't work. But although ELP has been taking their sweet arse time, I'm confident that will get it to work. Like 97GTinKC, I will NOT do without A/C. I'll let you all know wassup... I'm droppin by the junk yard to pick up my last part that's needed (the throttle cable). Hopefully we'll get this thing started today, and if not today, tomorrow or Monday. |
